"Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix has got to be my favourite of the series so far (alongside book 3). I was gripped the whole way through and just loved every page! Another rollercoaster ride!
There I was thinking there would be ‘more of the same’ but I was surely wrong. The plot got better and better – more twists and turns of course – and some unexpected new tidbits of information too.
Even more interesting characters are introduced in the 5th book of the Harry Potter series, the most annoying of whom has got to be Dolores Umbridge. I still shudder at the thought of what she makes Harry do at one particular point in the book. Nasty woman!
All in all, Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix is a very much recommended read. Gripping as always, but particularly sad at the end."

"Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix was better than the 4th book, unbelievably! It was far darker than any of the others to date, and Harry is forced to grow up very quickly.
He is joined by Ron and Hermione again but seems to be far more alone than ever before as nobody believes him about what happened in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. There is a new evil teacher too, someone to hate even more than Snape!
The end is one hell of a climax, and it left me stunned and sobbing for hours after! (...) Fantastic but so, so sad."
-- Anonymous Book Lover, Bath, reviewing Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix by J K Rowling --
"(...) The fifth Harry Potter title, Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, is just as enjoyable as the previous books; once again full of memorable characters, surprises and revelations, but it does have the most evident flaws of series so far.
Most notably it is arguably far too long, and could easily have had it's length halved without losing any of the important stories and developments.
ALSO WHY DOES HARRY HAVE TO SHOUT SO MUCH? I appreciate that Harry is growing up fast and that he is angry and confused for much of the book, but surely JK Rowling could have found another way of portraying this than by littering every other page with Harry exclaiming in capital letters?
Still, these are only small grumbles which aren't critical to the enjoyment to what is another highly enjoyable read."
