Acupuncture For Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - Jacinta's experiences

by Jacinta

Here is my acupuncture review as a sufferer of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome...

I have tried Acupuncture to try and alleviate my chronic back muscle pain. I had approximately 3 sessions.

The therapist had apparently worked with other Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers and was very good with relieving fatigue as well.

The Acupuncture was not painful at all. The needles are so thin and tiny you usually don't notice them. Sometimes it hurt but very minimally.

The therapist also used Moxa, which is where they burn what look like incense cones on points of your body. Both the needles and Moxa are meant to activate acupressure points that relate to different parts of the body.

I found it to be quite relaxing but it was not beneficial for my muscle pain, nor for my fatigue levels. I think it is probably worth experiencing as I understand that it does work for some Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers, but if you're not really getting results relatively quickly, then I'd recommend trying something else.

I did try five element accupunture and felt a tremedous release with just one $150.00 session. However, this is out-of-pocket expense and I could not continue treatments.

I have been suffering on an off for ten years.

An intense vitamin regimen of brain vitale, CoQ10, Primal Defense, r-lipoic and alpha lipoic acid, ultra marine fish oil, GLA, sublingual B-12 with folic acid and biotin, Melatonin and Inositol seem to be helping.

Thanks For Your Acupuncture Review Jacinta!

It's interesting to read that you haven't found acupuncture painful. I've never tried it myself, but it certainly has intrigued me. Mostly because of the glowing reports I've heard from people I know.

It's certainly interesting that you didn't find that it alleviated your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome symptoms though.

Thanks again for yet another insightful review Jacinta!
