Acupunture Was Disappointing For Me - Ian's Review, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) Sufferer

As an M.E. sufferer (I've never been tested for Fibromyalgia) I have tried acupuncture on numerous occasions (probably as many as 50 times). If you're wondering why I tried it that often, I stayed at a Chinese clinic for a month and also tried it in my home town.
Overall I found acupunture to be very costly for all it is. I found no benefit but mainly negative effects. After a session I would feel pretty tired, particularly in the head and eyes and would need to rest for about an hour. Not what you'd expect from a treatment that involves lying down and relaxing.
As for the needles, they are not especially painful so don't let that put you off. But personally, I would say I found acupuncture to be a big disappointment in terms of treatment for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.)
