Your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Diet
Is What You Eat Making You Worse?
Your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome diet is vital. If you're not eating the right
kind of food when you have ME / Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome / Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome, you're probably making your condition much worse.
And avoiding certain foods is just as important too.

Please note: Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome are believed to fall under the umbrella term 'ME/CFS'. To make it easier for you to read through this page, Sleepydust will use the term 'ME/CFS' to refer to them collectively.
You Are What You Eat...
You are what you eat right?
Well if you’re a ME/CFS sufferer, you REALLY need to take
your ME/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome diet seriously...
You wouldn't expect a car to run smoothly if you filled it with junk and
refused to give it what it needs - petrol and oil...
So why would you fill your body up with junk food, and refrain from feeding
your body the nutrients it needs... and then wonder why your body isn't
working properly? Why are you feeling so awful?
As a ME/CFS sufferer myself, this is definitely something that took
a while to sink in!
Junk food feeds your illness - not your recovery!
Your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Diet
As a ME/CFS sufferer, you’re already feeling low on
energy. You probably feel terribly ill, fatigued and exhausted
(for lack of a better word), and weak - right?
Well, to intensify the problem, if you’re not eating
right, you’re just making it ten times worse! Sorry
for being blunt here, but it's the truth!
If you want your body to recover, you need to give it the resources it
needs to become strong and resilient enough to fight your ME/CFS ,
right?
Or to put it another way...
... if you want your body to recover, you need to give it the nutrients
it needs to fight your illness. And at the same time, you need
to stop feeding your body with foods that use up more energy
than they give you (e.g. junk food) too!
So understandably, your ME/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome diet really is crucial to how you
feel and recover from ME/CFS .
Your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Diet & Nutritional Deficiency
You see, most ME/CFS sufferers have significant nutrient deficiency
(especially nutrients that are important for adrenal function).
In fact, by the time most 'normal' people reach their 40s or 50s,
they have developed MASSIVE nutritional deficiency over a wide range of
nutrients!
Many ME/CFS experts actually advise ME/CFS suffers to take supplements
in addition to having a healthy balanced diet. So it's
a good idea to make sure you know what a good ME/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome diet
is...
... or more specificaly, what nutrients to stock up on (via food
and supplements) and what food to avoid.
That way, you’ll be giving your body the best fighting chance to
beat your ME/CFS.
If You'd Like To Learn More About The ME/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Diet ...
A great book on CFS diet is The
Chronic Fatigue Healing Diet by Christine Craggs-Hinton.
I found this little gem a while ago and found it to be a gold mine of information.
Funnily enough, I did start to feel better when I took some of the advice
in the book. I was not cured - but did feel better. Very much recommended.
