Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Sufferer - Acupuncture - Laurance's Review

by Laurance
(Malaysia)

I had been struggling with M.E. / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and was at the very lowest of lows. As a last resort I tried acupuncture, and it changed my life there and then...

Within 30 minutes of coming out (after a 30 minute acupuncture session) I felt like I hadn't felt for a year or so (i.e. normal).

The doctor talked about my Ying and Yang being all out of sync, and through acupuncture she realigned the Ying and Yang.

Thereafter I went weekly. Then as I got better I went whenever I needed that boost. If I was going away for work, I would go in and get my 'booster' of acupuncture.

This was one of the many treatments that actually felt as though it worked, and it was good for building my overall wellness.

I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Since then, I have heard about people having bad experiences, but I think it has to do more with the doctor. Personally, I have found female doctors to be much more understanding and gentle.

My advice: Make sure you voice your concerns, and make sure you ask your acupuncturist to stay in the room with you. In my early sessions, the doctor used to leave me alone, and in my fragile state of mind I freaked myself out, and was trying to call for her to return. But I couldnt get up because of the needles in my feet.

I'd also recommend that you start off slow, and gradually build up the length of time and number of needles. And make sure the doctor explains what he or she is doing, if anything it's interesting.
