This
is one of my favourite books on personal development.
I
read this when I was having a particularly bad time
with depression
(a common symptom
of CFS and FMS) a few years ago.
It
really made sense to me, and set me on the road to
understanding myself that little bit better. And
that’s why I have no doubts in recommending
this book to you now.
Remember
'Toad of Toad Hall' from 'Wind In The Willows'?
That classic children's book?
Well
this book follows 'Toad' as he attends therapy sessions
with his therapist (the 'Heron') and battles with
his depression.
Sounds
really basic, but it's actually a really cool way
to get to grips with the basics of counselling and
how you cope the way you do...
If
you're like me, you might be wondering if it's linked
to the original 'Wind In the Willows' book in anyway.
The
answer to that is no - different author -
different topic - different... everything!...
...
apart from the fact that the author uses Toad as his
main character...
And
it's not a fiction book - it is most definitely a
non-fiction book based on personal development/self-help.
So,
if you’re suffering from depression, or just
want to learn more about yourself, then I really recommend
this book.
