Fibromyalgia: Zoloft For Pain And Zanaflex For Sleep

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia ten years ago because I had all 18 tender points active. Zoloft is the only thing I've found that really makes a difference in my pain levels. If I lower the dosage too much, I am in constant pain.

Zoloft doesn't help with sleep or being tired, but it does help with the pain. I take generic Zanaflex for sleep. The smallest dosage. It works most nights, but I don't always sleep long enough. Once I wake up, I am wide awake, but then I frequently have to have a nap later, sometimes a very long nap.

I mainly have the fatigue while my Zoloft levels are correct.

Hope this info helps someone with choices.

Helpful Insight For Fibromyalgia Suffers Re. Zoloft And Zanaflex
by: Sleepydust

Thanks for sharing! I'm sure many Fibromyalgia sufferers will be interested in reading your experiences with Zoloft for your pain, and Zanaflex for sleep.

It's fantastic that we can all pool our experiences together to help each other learn about our different options.

If anyone else has had experiences with these medications, it would be great if you could leave a comment (or submit your own review). The more voices we hear, the better!

Thanks again Excentric (Simon the cat is beautiful by the way - thanks for the pic!)

P.S. For everyone out there, as I'm sure you'll know (but I'll say it anyway) you should always consult your doctor before taking any supplement or medication.
